Cyclist struck, dragged by vehicle in St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD, FL – A young woman suffered serious injuries after being struck by a driver in St. Cloud, WESH reports.

The victim was riding her bike with a friend on Monday night along Lake Shore Boulevard when they were both struck from behind.

She became trapped under the vehicle and was dragged for over fifty feet before the driver sped away, leaving her on the side of the road.

She suffered a brain injury, hearing loss, and numerous abrasions. Her friend sustained minor injuries.

Police are searching for the driver, who they believe was driving a Sebring sedan.
