KISSIMMEE, FL – Two people were taken to the hospital after a vehicle slammed into a home in Kissimmee, causing it to catch fire on Thursday evening.
The incident happened on the 2980 block of Camino Real Drive around 6 p.m. Thursday, according to Click Orlando. The driver was traveling south on Marbella Drive when he lost control for unknown reasons. His vehicle first struck a mailbox, causing it to fly into two additional vehicles. The SUV then continued off the roadway, crashed into the homes living room, and caught fire.
Troopers say there were eight occupants inside the home at the time of the crash. As a precaution, a 65-year-old woman was taken to a hospital for medical evaluation.
The SUV driver, an unidentified 38-year-old man, was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
