ORLANDO, FL – A rear-end crash on Florida’s Turnpike claimed a man’s life and injured three people Friday, Click Orlando reported.
The collision occurred on the southbound lanes around 4 a.m. A woman was driving north when for reasons unknown, her Sedan crashed into a passenger vehicle.
The impact of the crash caused the passenger vehicle to roll over and collide with a light pole before landing in a pond.
In addition, the driver of the passenger vehicle, a 30-year-old man from Connecticut, was thrown from the car and succumbed to fatal injuries. The passenger, a 31-year-old woman, was taken to a hospital for critical-life-threatening injuries.
The occupants of the Sedan, the passenger – a 24-year-old man from Davenport and the driver – a 27-year-old woman also from Davenport – sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the passenger vehicle and the Sedan passenger did not wear seatbelts. It is unclear if the women did, what the continuing factors of the crash were, and if charges will be pending. Our newsroom will post these details to the news blog when they become available.
