LAKE COUNTY, FL – A teenage boy’s life was claimed in a hit-and-run crash on County Road 455 at Willo Pines Lane Thursday.
A 14-year-old high school student was in the path of a 2007 Pontiac G6, according to Click Orlando. The driver hit the student and fled the scene.
The impact of the crash threw the student into a southbound lane. Then the teenager was struck by a pickup truck.
The driver of the Pontiac G6 was found, arrested, and charged with leaving the scene of a fatal crash. Authorities identified him as 57-year-old Enrique Ramirez.
The pickup truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
The student succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
