Cyclist killed in Pine Hills crash

PINE HILLS, FL – A man from Altamonte Springs was killed on Monday night after being hit by a car as he rode his bicycle in Pine Hills.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, the accident occurred around 10:45 at the intersection of Rolling Way and Indiana Hill Road. The 58-year-old victim was riding north and attempting to make a right turn when he was struck by a 2010 Ford Escape driving east.

He was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene. The 23-year-old Orlando man driving the Escape was uninjured.
