LAKE MARY, FL – Reckless driving contributed to a crash in the parking lot of Lake Mary High School Wednesday.
According to FOX 35 Orlando, video footage depicts a driver of an Infiniti car, a student of Lake Mary High, traveling at a high rate and pursuing donuts in the parking lot. Another student sat on the roof of the car. The driver continued to speed before colliding with a parked SUV.
The student on the car’s roof fell off the vehicle and ran away from the collision.
No serious injuries were reported, but two other students, who were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash, were sent to a hospital as a precaution. One of the passengers claimed to have hit “his head against the windshield.”
The driver, an unidentified 18-year-old adult, was detained and will face unspecified charges, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office indicated in the source.
