LEESBURG, FL – Three people were left dead after a multi-vehicle collision in the area of Sleepy Hollow Road and U.S. 441 in Leesburg Wednesday.
WESH said that based upon preliminary findings, a driver of a Ford Mustang crashed into a Hyundai Tucson, causing the Mustang driver to cross the northbound lanes and strike a Hyundai Sonata.
A pickup truck driver then hit the Sonata. A 66-year-old man who was a passenger was sent to a hospital, where he later suffered fatal injuries. Two drivers – a 42-year-old and a 77-year-old man were pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials are investigating the specifics of this wreck. No other details are available.
