Woman, 33, killed after getting struck by car in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, FL – A fatal collision was reported on State Route 520 near Coco West Tuesday morning. 

The crash happened before 3 a.m. near Cocoa Water Plant Road, Click Orlando reported. 

A driver of a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling west and lost control of her vehicle before it rolled over. The woman got out of her car and walked on the eastbound lanes of SR 520. 

A driver of a 2006 Volvo XC90 then struck the woman. 

The Volvo driver, a 68-year-old man, was not hurt, and he remained at the scene. 

The 33-year-old woman, whose name was not released, succumbed to fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
