LAKE COUNTY, FL – A 38-year-old man was killed on Wednesday afternoon after wet roads caused his vehicle to hydroplane, local news reports.
The accident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The victim was driving a blue Toyota CH-R when he lost control of his vehicle near the intersection of County Road 48 and Ranch Road.
As his vehicle spun out of control, he entered the path of a black 2020 black Ford F-150 and struck the front of the truck. He died at the scene.
The 35-year-old man driving the truck was taken to South Lake Hospital.
