BREVARD CO., FL – A man was killed early Saturday morning when he was hit by vehicle while walking along US-1 near Sharpes.

According to KPRC, the victim was hit at about 12:30 a.m. while walking near the Pam Lem Street intersection.

The 36-year-old Melbourne man was thrown into a traffic sign as a result of the impact. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

It is unclear at this time if the driver involved will be charged in connection to the deadly crash.
