APOPKA, FL – A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision with a garbage truck in Apopka on Thursday, according to Fox 35 Orlando.
The collision happened when the driver of the truck made a left turn from southbound Sheeler Avenue onto E Semoran Blvd and struck the motorcyclist traveling north through the intersection.
The motorcyclist, a 57-year-old man, was transported to AdventHealth Apopka Hospital, where he succumbed to fatal injuries. The driver of the truck, a 51-year-old man, stayed at the crash site and was spared from harm.
