One killed in Volusia County accident

VOLUSIA COUNTY, FL – A 72-year-old man was killed in an accident in Volusia County on Sunday morning, WESH reports. 

The accident occurred around 2 a.m. on eastbound I-4 near mile marker 118. The victim was driving a 2010 Ford Explorer when one of his tires blew out, causing him to strike a guardrail on the left side.

The Explorer was then rear-ended by a 2020 Chevy Camaro. The victim, who had gotten out of the car, was struck by a 2022 Lexus IS300 as he stood in a traffic lane.

He was killed at the scene. The driver of the Camaro also sustained minor injuries.
