ORANGE CO., FL – A man from Orlando was killed in a collision with a semi-truck in Orange County last night.
According to KPRC, the collision took place at about 10 p.m. near the intersection of Colonia Drive and Manor Drive.
Police say the truck was blocking all westbound lanes of Colonial Drive while backing into a parking lot when the motorcyclist slammed into the truck’s left side. Both vehicles then caught fire.
The motorcyclist, an unidentified 44-year-old man, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died a short time later. The truck driver was unhurt.
Police continue to investigate the official cause of the crash.
