ORLANDO, FL – Troopers have released the name of the 23-year-old man killed in a collision on Dean Road Sunday.
The crash happened after 4:30 a.m. along State Road 408, and the name of the man killed was Christian Romero, Flaglerlive reported.
In an initial investigation, a driver of a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe, a 15-year-old teenage girl, ran a red light and collided with Romero, who turned onto Dean Road on a green light.
The Santa Fe hit the left side of the 2016 Toyota 4Runner, driven by Romero. As a result, the vehicle went against a curb, flipping over on its side.
Romero suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Medics transported the driver and four passengers to Arnold Palmer Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The fifth passenger also sustained minor injuries but was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, also with non-life-threatening injuries.
