POLK CO., FL – A man was killed in a collision involving a semi-truck near Haines City this morning.

According to WFTS, the 47-year-old driver of a 2018 tractor-trailer turned into the path of a Toyota pickup truck at the intersection of RWS Ranch Road and US-27.

The driver of the pickup, a 44-year-old Orlando man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt. It is unclear if any citations or charges will be filed in connection to the deadly crash.
