Driver killed following crash in Ocoee

OCOEE, FL – One person was killed in Ocoee early Monday morning after their vehicle crashed into a tree, WFTV reports.

The victim was driving near the intersection of Silver Star Road and Ocoee Landings Boulevard when they lost control of their vehicle around 4 a.m.

Their vehicle left the road and burst into flames as it crashed into a tree in the median.

The driver was rushed to a local hospital where they later passed away.

It is not clear what caused the driver to leave the road.
