Rollover crash in Davenport leaves two dead

DAVENPORT, FL – Two women were killed and a 16-year-old boy was injured following a rollover crash in Davenport, local news reports. 

The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. on I-4 eastbound. The victims were traveling in a 2015 Toyota 4Runner driven by a 22-year-old woman.

They were driving at high speeds and the driver lost control as she attempted to make a lane change. The vehicle flipped over and ejected the driver, who died at the scene. An 18-year-old woman in the passenger seat was also ejected and later died at the hospital. Neither was wearing a seat belt.

A 16-year-old boy was in the back seat and sustained minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
